Commercial Bank
The Challenge
To ensure processes automation, facilitation of work-life & overall interconnectedness between more than 1,500 people in the newly renovated Commercial Bank building on Wenceslas Square (Prague, Czech Republic).
To provide reservation and navigation solution that simplifies the orientation of employees within the Commercail Bank’s headquaters, all that with the use of QR codes. The main aim was to enable reservation of meeting rooms and guide users to various locations within the main building located in Stodůlky (Prague, Czech Republic).

About Commercial Bank
Commercial Bank (also known as KB) is a banking institution operating in the Czech capital market, mostly owned by the French financial group Société Générale. It serves approximately 1.7 million customers in the Czech Republic. At the end of the year 2021, the company employed 7,538 employees, had 241 branches, and operated 857 ATMs.
Our Czech partner AV MEDIA took care of the project implementation.
The Journey
We previously collaborated with Commercial Bank in their building on Wenceslas Square. There, Commercial Bank has been using dozens of reservation panels and our reservation system for several years. For great success, we decided to cooperate on another project – their headquarters in Stodůlky (Prague, Czech Republic).
This collaboration started off with the installation of approx. 150 reservation panels. Between the years 2018 and 2019, the reservation panels were supplemented with interactive kiosks located in the entrance areas of the bank. These kiosks allow you to search for a specific event, guide you to the appropriate room or help you search for and book the most suitable meeting room.
At the beginning of 2020, negotiations began on the deployment of a reservation and navigation app that would make it easier for bank employees to find their way around the building. These activities were unfortunately interrupted by the Covid pandemic and the process was not resumed until 2022. At that time, we already had the extended version of our reservation app available, and in the second half of 2022 we also introduced navigation for movement inside buildings, which was initially part of the reservation app, but became separate ever since. Now, it is intended for anonymous (not logged in) users as well.
The whole process of implementation began shortly afterwards and it culminated at the end of March 2023.

Manager's Statement
Quite a lot of employees from other office buildings in Prague and from other regions come to our office building in Stodůlky. Currently, there are about 130 meeting rooms and various other places that employees don’t even know about in the Stodůlky building. When they arrive at Stodůlky, of course, they don’t know exactly where the particular meeting rooms are located. For this case, we have a large navigation panel downstairs in the reception area where they can find the meeting room. We also have an indoor navigation where they enter their current location by scanning a QR code with their mobile phone and the navigation then easily leads them to the desired meeting room.

Our Navigation Resolution
In tackling this challenge, our company adeptly developed a solution that seamlessly integrated the reservation and navigation system. We addressed the previous indoor navigation situation and enhanced efficiency in overall movement within the premises, all directly tailored to the Commercial Bank itself.
Leveraging QR codes, the solution not only facilitated easy orientation for KB employees within the Stodůlky building but also streamlined the reservation process for meeting rooms. The implementation of interactive kiosks and a dedicated navigation app enabled efficient movement to various spaces (meeting rooms, restrooms, dining areas etc.). This innovative approach not only addressed the indoor navigation hurdle but also exemplified a cost-effective and hardware-minimalistic solution applicable across diverse sectors.

Our Reservation and Control
Resolution
Our complete workspace management & resource scheduling ecosystem touchONE was applied throughout the building. It perfectly complements the chosen Microsoft communication platform with Skype for Business on-premises as its communication tool & Panasonic conference room screens, which are all fully compatible with CUE products.
The icing on the cake is the deployment of our Info kiosk, which:
Helps with orientation in buildings,
Searches for users, rooms, workplaces, and other resources by different criteria,
Displays floor plans for better orientation and way-finding.
